A world of museums: collection fervour in Parcines.
The inventor of the typewriter, Peter Mitterhofer, was born in Parcines which now hosts the very interesting World Museum of Typewriters.
Then, there’s the very atmospheric so-called Kunst-Bunker, or Art Bunker, and the K. & K. Museum in nearby Tell both of which are certainly worth a visit!
And what about a stop off at Rabla to see the Miniature Museum of South Tyrol and the Railway Collection.
There are numerous historic homes and castles in Parcines/Partschins. Stachelburg Castle, a typical medieval castle situated in the center of the village, is well worth visiting. Once inhabited by the Counts of Parcines, it is now the manor house on Baron von Kripp’s organic wine farm. The wine cellar, which includes an old wine press and an inner courtyard, can be visited during the scheduled weekly tastings.
The richness of attractions in Parcines, Rablà and Tel play upon the historical ancient monuments, numerous catholic churches built in romanesque and gothic style.
