Trauttmansdorff - Hotel Rablanderhof
Trauttmansdorff Castle & Merano

Around 80 garden landscapes and plants from all over the world can be admired in the botanical gardens at Trauttmansdorff Castle. In the castle itself, a permanent exhibition tells of the 250-year-old tourism history of South Tyrol. Always there: the view of the spa town of Merano, which invites you to follow in the footsteps of the Austrian Empress Sissi to go and stroll through the Mediterranean-inspired old town.

World of trains - Hotel Rablanderhof
Museums, castles & churches

Parcines and the surrounding area also have a lot to offer culturally: from the typewriter museum, to the Rablá railway world and the K&K Museum, to majestic castles and historic churches. Witnesses of an earlier South Tyrol.

The man from the ice Oetzi - Hotel Rablanderhof
Ötzi – the man from Hauslabjoch

In 1991, in the Ötztal Alps this glacier mummy was found, which researchers say dates back to the late Neolithic period. The Iceman, also known as Ötzi, is considered one of the most spectacular archaeological discoveries. His skeleton, as well as his clothes and tools are exhibited in South Tyrolean Archeology Museum in Bolzano and can be viewed there.

Archery - Hotel Rablanderhof
archeoPark Val Senales

The archaeological open-air museum with visitor centre invites you to a journey into the past and shows how Ötzi lived around 5,300 years ago. Through visitor activities and demonstrations, life at that time is reconstructed and part of prehistory is brought into the present.
